Excellence Model Implementation

The European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model, also known as the Excellence Model, was originally developed in 1992 as a mechanism for assessing applications for The UK Excellence Award. Since that time, most prominently in the commercial sector, but increasingly across the public and not-for-profit sectors, its usage has become more widespread and its focus changed to that of a mechanism for comprehensive self-assessment of organisations. By the use of the Excellence Model organisations of varying sizes are in a position to analyse their performance, identify gaps and have a basis for looking at solutions to meet those gaps.
